Karval First Astronomy Tour |

On August 21 and 22, 2009 approximately 100 people enjoyed the First Astronomy Tour supported by the Karval Alliance. Mr. Ben Wentworth, a retire Science teacher and teacher of Astronomy at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in Colorado Springs, with the help of other Astronomers, did the PowerPoint Presentation on Astronomy on Friday night and Saturday at the Karval Lake.

2nd Annual Christmas Tour-Contest-Dinner Results |
|
On December 13, 2008 the Karval Community Alliance held their 2nd Annual Christmas Lightning Contest, Dinner and Tour. An all you can eat Soup & Salad dinner was served from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. At 6:30 approximately 30 people loaded into a school bus and with 4 cars following toured 12 places of various sizes of displays and lights. Prizes, sponsored by Mountain View Electric, was awarded to David & Tanya Seymour, 1st place of $150.00 credit on their electric bill, 2nd place to Jack & Kathy Pfost of $100.00 credit on their electric bill and 3rd place to Jeremy & Tiffany Kahn of $50.00 credit on their electric bill. An excellent time was had by all and several have started making plans for their displays for next year. |
